Our full-day dentist-led risk masterclass features an engaging and powerful programme. With sessions covering content from our popular workshops, “Mastering your risk”, “Mastering adverse outcomes”, and “Mastering consent and shared decision making”, to help reduce your risk before and after a complaint and communicate more effectively.
You also earn 6 hours of CPD.
Expect a mix of short presentations, opportunities for valuable peer-to-peer discussions, and personal reflection.
Peer learning occurs through reflective exercises by sharing experience and knowledge, along with the invaluable opportunity to get involved and participate with skilled actors – putting your learning into practice in a safe environment.

We are currently only offering very limited numbers of face-to-face masterclasses and therefore you may not find anything available to book at this time. If you are looking for a live event, you may find more availability within our webinar and virtual workshops which are running on a more regular basis.
To browse, find, and book a masterclass that you’re interested in, you just need to log in to our online learning hub or activate your account if you haven’t already.
All masterclass places are limited and it’s not possible for the masterclass presenters to cater for members who do not book a place in advance.
The course materials are only an addition to the masterclass and not a replacement for it. They don’t contain the videos, exercises or speaker’s notes that are vital parts of the masterclass. This means the course materials are only for those who attend and can’t be sent out or made available online.
If you believe that you’re going to be late, we’d recommend that you register on another date. The introduction to each session is important for the messages later. Most colleges require proof from us that you’ve attended the complete masterclass and may take into consideration any discrepancies between attendance-register records and time claimed.
Our masterclasses are extremely popular, and with limited spaces available they can book out within a very short time. Members are encouraged to log in to our online learning hub regularly to see what professional development courses are available.
If you give us notice or if an emergency arises (either private or patient) we won’t charge you. However, we do reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee to attendees who don’t contact us about their inability to attend (before or after the event), particularly if this happens on more than one occasion.
Dental Protection won’t charge you for parking. However, the venue where the masterclass is being held may charge a fee to use their car park (if available). This is at the discretion of the venue, so we advise you to check before you travel.
We don’t, because we believe that most members would agree that the reimbursement of other members’ travel expenses isn’t a good way to use their funds.
