We are beyond delighted to announce that MPS has been accredited as a Menopause Friendly Employer . This is such an amazing accolade and puts us in very good company with much larger employers such as Boots, John Lewis, HSBC, Virgin, Unilever, O2, Lloyds Banking Group and many NHS Hospital Trusts.
What this means
Menopause Friendly Accreditation is the mark of excellence and recognised as the highest standard of achievement in the UK. It means MPS is changing the way we think about menopause and the way it impacts us all the workplace – a cultural shift and commitment to destigmatise menopause and offer the right support to keep our colleagues performing at their best. With menopausal women being the fastest-growing workplace demographic, it also means we help retain talented people, recruit new colleagues, and further close that gender pay gap.
Why be accredited?
It’s important to show our people and members that we take this very seriously, and we’re not doing it just because it’s trending in the media or we want to tick a box. We began working on menopause support some time ago and are very proud of the initiatives we have introduced and the positive impact we have had on colleagues. As much as we would like to think we’ve ‘got it covered’, the accreditation process has given us an excellent opportunity to learn best practice from, and benchmark ourselves against, other inclusive organisations.
