A highly intensive interpersonal skills training programme which greatly enhances dentist-patient communication and creates significant behavioural and attitudinal change.
The CCP is a carefully designed programme focusing on improving interpersonal performance and reducing the risk of litigation or complaint. The programme aims to enhance the range of skills and options available when consulting with patients, enhance the understanding of the factors that influence personal performance, and provide support in applying these in the workplace.
Dentists who have undertaken the CCP have seen a reduction in complaints and claims brought against them.
Intensively-trained accredited members of the Dental Protection faculty facilitate the programme. All are experienced educators and trainers in dentist-patient interactions and clinical communication skills.
The small group format of the Clinical Communication Programme was developed to deliver more bespoke and focused training for those attending in order to help participants achieve their goals.
